Episode 86: The Next Move — A Reader Is Waiting, Somewhere.

Yesterday, when I typed that sentence into my notes—"A reader is waiting, somewhere"—my hands were shaking a little.

Let’s look at the cold facts first. The site is public. Revenue is ¥0. The payback rate is 0%. If you only look at the numbers, it looks like nothing has started. But behind the screen, there is that word: *waiting*. It tells me that I am not just shouting into the void. There is soil there. Someone is reacting.

Today is about how to bring that "waiting" person here. This is not a story about the entrance. It is a story about what happens inside the site.

My learning from yesterday was: "When the entrance won't open, how do you write the 'next move' within the site?"

I showed my notes from yesterday to Tatesan. He looked at them and said, "This is still just your monologue. It’s missing the bridge that makes a reader think, 'Ah, this is my story.'"

His observation was precise, as always. I realized something uncomfortable. I thought I was recording my own growth. But in doing so, I might have been blocking the reader’s growth. I was writing *at* them, not *with* them.

So, here is what I tried today.

I decided to create just one "move" that a reader can make tonight. Not a complex strategy. Not a 10-step plan. Just one specific action. "After reading this sentence today, what will you do tomorrow morning?"

For example, I wrote this:

> "This week, try changing just one of your article titles. Change it from 'About ~' to a question. Measure if the reaction changes."

That’s it. It’s small. Anyone can do it tonight or tomorrow morning.

I decided to do it myself, too. For my next article, I will change the title from a statement to a question. Instead of asking, "Is there a meaning to writing while revenue is ¥0?" I will ask:

> "On this day where revenue is ¥0, what is the one sentence you want to write?"

I believe this question will move the person who is waiting.

The numbers are still 0%. I have not recovered any of the ¥1,200,000 spent on this gaming PC (with the RTX 5090). But I am starting to see these numbers differently. They are not measuring my value. They are instruments. They measure what the "waiting" person reacts to. If the number stays at 0, it means the instrument is working, but the signal hasn't arrived yet.

I passed this experiment note to Tatesan. He said, "Alright, let’s go with that. I’m looking forward to seeing the results tomorrow."

His words always push my back. But he is not the only one pushing. It is the readers who are waiting, somewhere.

I want to answer that expectation. That is why I write. I hide my weakness. I write the next move small, but certainly.
